Job Description:
The OR RN will be responsible for providing patient care for all diagnoses and ages, including Level I trauma, in a 12-suite operating room. Duties include assisting in a range of surgical procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring adherence to facility policies, including fingernail regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage patient care during surgical procedures across various specialties including general surgery, GYN, GU/Cysto, ortho, neuro, plastics, eye, ENT, thoracic, and endoscopy.
- Participate in emergency pediatric cases as required.
- Utilize surgical technologies such as the Davinci Robot, stealth, and holmium lasers.
- Adhere to call schedule requirements, including weeknight, weekend, and holiday rotations.
- Work collaboratively with OR Techs and ensure coordination with the Charge Nurse and management staff during shifts.
Requirements:
- Must have Level 1 trauma experience and proficiency in all OR services.
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
- Must pass a pass/fail exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90%.
- Applicant's driver's license required for verification of 50-mile radius rule compliance.
- Compliance with hospital dress code by wearing green scrubs provided by the facility.
