Allied Travel Careers is working with United Health Care Staffing to find a qualified Nuclear Medicine Tech in Omaha, Nebraska.

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day).
Note:
some internal notes list M, T, W, F 6:30 AM - 4:00 PM as an alternate day schedule.
Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures using department equipment, ensuring image quality and patient safety
- Apply radiation safety principles and maintain radiation monitoring (radiation badge provided by client)
- Provide compassionate patient care and clear explanations to patients undergoing nuclear studies
- Operate and learn imaging systems (Siemens PET/CT Biograph Vision, Siemens
E.CAM) — training available if needed - Accurately document procedures and patient information in EPIC and other charting systems
- Follow institutional policies (including fingernail policy and other patient-safety protocols) and escalate concerns appropriately
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams to support timely, high-quality patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB — required
- BLS certification — required
- Driver's license — required at submittal (used for radius rule determination)
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience
- DOT Certification preferred at start; required if contract is extended (within 90 days)
- Must not be currently employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any facility associated with Common Spirit (including CHI and Dignity)
Education
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB required
- BSN not required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of Nuclear Medicine technology and radiation safety practices
- Patient care skills with emphasis on safety, dignity, and communication
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
- Experience or willingness to train on Siemens PET/CT Biograph Vision and Siemens
E.CAM - Ability to comply with radiation monitoring procedures (radiation badge) and hospital safety policies
