Position SummaryThe Behavioral Practitioner II (BHP-II) will provide outpatient behavioral health services to children and families in schools and/or MMI Psychology clinics, both at MMI and in the community in outreach clinics. Responsibilities include completing psychosocial assessments, developing treatment goals, designing behavioral protocols to address target behaviors, evaluating the integrity and effectiveness of treatment protocols, coordinating with other professionals (physicians, care coordinators, psychologists, and other service providers) to ensure continuity of care, managing scheduling, documentation, and billing, participating in training programs, providing direct supervision to trainees, and assisting with administrative activities.
Required Qualifications- Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, School Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing behavioral and mental health services to children, adolescents, and families in behavioral health or school settings, or experience providing services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in behavioral health settings.
- Licensed Mental Health Practitioner (LMHP) or Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner (LIMHP) licensure or eligibility.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, conduct structured and semi-structured clinical interviews, implement manualized and individually designed treatment protocols, apply behavioral and cognitive behavioral intervention methods, adhere to departmental and organizational policies and procedures, pursue necessary education or training to perform at the required level, remain flexible, multi-task, manage competing priorities, maintain calm, patient, and empathetic demeanor, recognize the need for additional supervision of others, and manage staff by providing positive and corrective feedback.
- EdS in School Psychology.
- Experience with electronic medical record systems (e.g., EPIC), online scheduling, insurance networks, and billing.
- Experience providing skill-building services to children and families, including individual and family therapy with children and adolescents.
- Certification with Trauma-Focus CBT and PCIT.
