Under the general supervision of the clinical director (M.D., D.O., or PhD) or designee to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. Provides direct patient care in the Sleep Disorders Lab performing sleep studies and scoring of sleep studies and involvement is all sleep related clinics. Provides appropriate respiratory care specific to the pediatric population in accordance with hospital and sleep lab policy/procedures.
Provides communication to physicians as appropriate based on findings of sleep study. This may involve polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, patient care and education, and sleep medicine clinics.

- Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.
- Perform physical requirements as described in the Physical Requirements section
- Graduate of an accredited AMA approved school of Respiratory Care accredited by the National Board of Respiratory Care Required
- Experience in Pulmonary or Sleep Medicine Preferred and
- Pediatric experience Preferred
- Ability to work independently and demonstrates good problem-solving skills during the sleep study.
- Demonstrate effective written and spoken communication skills.
- Demonstrate appropriate social skills.
- Comply with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists Standards of Conduct.
- CRT
- Certified Respiratory Therapist Required or - RRT
- Registered Respiratory Therapist Required and - Certification as a Polysomnography Technologist Preferred and
- Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association Required and
- Current and valid RRT National Registry license in the state of Nebraska within 1 Year Required and
- Must be registered in Sleep Technology by The American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM), The National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), The Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (BPRT) or an equivalent examination accepted by The Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) required within 24 months of hire.
