Retail Pharmacy Student Intern

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Retail Pharmacy Student Intern, you will be an integral part of our healthcare team, ensuring the safe and accurate processing of prescriptions within a highly regulated environment. You will uphold all state and federal regulations, including rigorous record-keeping and infection prevention standards, directly contributing to our commitment to patient safety and operational excellence. This role is fundamental to supporting licensed pharmacists and maintaining the efficient workflow of our pharmacy operations.

Every day you will be involved in a variety of critical tasks, including precise prescription data entry, efficient insurance billing, and the preparation and filling of medications. You will serve as a primary contact for retail pharmacy customers, handling cashiering duties and demonstrating exceptional service, while also performing accurate pharmaceutical calculations. Additionally, you will manage inventory, track orders, stock medications, and operate automated dispensing systems.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate exceptional accuracy, meticulous attention to detail, and efficient time management in a fast-paced setting. You will possess strong knowledge of pharmacy operations, including federal and state pharmacy laws, and a proactive approach to identifying potential medication errors. A professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit are essential for delivering outstanding patient care and working effectively within our team.

• Registered in a school of pharmacy, 1-2 years
• Must be registered in Nebraska as a Pharmacy Intern, registration must be held in the State of Nebraska
