Position SummaryThe position will work G’s Lab in the Department of Neurological Sciences with the principal investigator and research team to coordinate, develop, and conduct clinical research projects aimed at improving patient health, disease treatment, and quality of life in individuals who are aging or have neurological, psychiatric, physiologic, or other medical disorders. The role involves assisting with clinical research projects from start to finish to support successful communication, coordination, regulatory and protocol compliance, and to work across a diverse, multidisciplinary team to meet project goals.
The position is independent, responsible, accountable, self‑motivated, a strong communicator, and capable of completing detailed tasks accurately and with high quality. The role contributes to developing and/or applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, and image segmentation and/or data science–based methods in medical imaging processing.
- Coordinate, develop, and conduct clinical research projects.
- Support full project lifecycle from design to analysis.
- Ensure communication, coordination, regulatory and protocol compliance.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve project goals.
- Develop and apply AI, machine learning, and image segmentation techniques for medical imaging.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a scientific or related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in healthcare, laboratory, or clinical research.
- Proficiency with medical imaging toolboxes/software such as Free Surfer, FSL, AFNI, SPM, ANTs, ITK, c3d, Surf Stat, NODDI, GIFT, CONN, GRETNA, SPSS, etc.
- Data management and/or data analysis experience in a medical setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; independent and accountable work style.
- Experience with deep learning, machine learning, and medical imaging processing.
- Programming experience in Python, MATLAB, SPSS, and Shell scripting.
- Experience working with Linux workstations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
