Key Responsibilities

• Receive and review incoming patient orders, faxes, and medical records from hospitals or doctors.
• Check patient eligibility, secure prior authorizations, and confirm payer coverage.
• Enter accurate demographic, medical, and billing details into the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Schedule start-of-care visits with nurses or therapists and order required medical equipment.
• Update patients, families, and referral sources on the status of their home care services.

• High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor degree in a health or business field preferred.
• 1 to 3 years of administrative, customer service, or insurance experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, basic ICD-10 coding familiarity, computer proficiency, and clear communication abilities.
