Patient Care Coordinator Role

Summary:

Are you a welcoming, organized individual with excellent customer service skills? Join our physical therapy clinic team as a Patient Care Coordinator where you'll be the first point of contact for our patients. We're seeking a detail-oriented professional who can create a positive first impression while efficiently managing administrative responsibilities to ensure our clinic runs smoothly and our patients feel valued from the moment they walk through our doors.

We are open to part-time and full-time shift preferences.

Key Responsibilities Greet and check in patients, verifying insurance and collecting required documentation

Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the therapists' calendars effectively

Answer phones professionally and direct calls appropriately

Process patient payments and manage daily financial transactions

Verify insurance benefits and obtain necessary authorizations

Manage electronic medical records and ensure patient information is accurate and up-to-date Coordinate with clinical staff regarding patient flow and scheduling

Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area Handle general office duties including patient documents and supply management

Assist with insurance claims processing as needed

Participate, as requested and with reasonable notice, in community outreach, local events, patient education, employer/school outreach, or relationship-building activities that support clinic growth, brand awareness, and community engagement. Frequency may vary by market, business need, and role

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred1-2 years of medical office or customer service experience

Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures

Proficiency with electronic medical records systems and practice management software

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Outstanding organizational abilities and attention to detail

Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment

Professional appearance and positive, friendly demeanor

Knowledge of medical insurance and billing procedures preferred
