Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) is responsible for providing care to adults, including mixed medical/surgical, cardiac, and stroke patients. Nurses will be expected to titrate various drips and interpret telemetry readings.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to adult patients.
• Titrate heparin, octreotide, insulin, and other IV medications.
• Interpret telemetry and monitor patients' conditions.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes.
• Adhere to hospital and departmental policies including safety and infection control.

Requirements:

• Valid RN License.
• Certifications:
  
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Must pass an open book skills exam with a score of 90% or higher.
• Compliance with radius rule and fingernail policy.
