Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Per Diem Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team at Emerald Nursing & Rehab Mercy in Omaha, Nebraska. As an OTA with our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional rehabilitation services to patients in a skilled nursing facility. Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans aimed at improving patients' ability to perform daily living activities, enhancing their quality of life, and facilitating their overall rehabilitation goals.

Responsibilities:
  • -Assist in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients
  • -Provide occupational therapy services to patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • -Conduct patient assessments and evaluations to identify treatment goals and outcomes
  • -Implement and modify treatment plans to meet individual patient needs
  • -Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • -Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress and treatment
Qualifications:
  • -Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution
  • -Current state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • -Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar setting preferred, but not required
  • -Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • -Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • -Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • -Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care
