Shift    First Shift (United States of America)    Proton Physicist - Full-time    Position Highlights    Nebraska Medicine is seeking a talented and motivated individual to join us as a Proton Physicist. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for radiation oncology and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. The position is based at the Fred & Pamela Buffett Cancer Center – Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE.
We preferred candidates with proton therapy experience, strong analytical and problem‐solving skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Proton Physicist Description    Serve as Radiation Oncology Medical Physicist to support our Proton Therapy Program. Collaborating with clinical and medical staff on treatment simulation, planning, and the supervision of proton treatment delivery. Responsibilities also include performing equipment QA, coordinating quality and safety programs, working with service engineers, and contributing to clinical research efforts.

Required Qualifications    
• M.S. or Ph.D. in Medical physics or PhD in Physics required.  
• Acquire full A  Board certification in Therapy Medical Physics within 5 years of employment required.

Preferred Qualifications    
• Minimum two years Proton therapy experience is highly preferred.  
• Experience in treatment planning with Ray Station TPS preferred.  
• A  Board Certification in Therapy Medical Physics preferred.
