Restaurant Supervisor I – The Farnam, Omaha, NE
Employer: Hotel Equities (The Farnam, Autograph Collection, AAA Four Diamond hotel)
Hourly Salary: $21.00 per hour
Job PurposeThis role provides a basic guideline of the duties, responsibilities, and requirements for supervising the restaurants and bars of The Farnam. The supervisor ensures warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance that reinforce guests’ confidence in their choice to stay at our hotel.
Responsibilities- Supervise restaurant and bar operations to ensure optimal service and hospitality.
- Train, direct, and coach team members, resolving issues and maintaining quality.
- Resolve customer complaints efficiently to uphold high satisfaction levels.
- Assist other departments during emergencies.
- Adhere to work rules, procedures, and policies, including SOPs and the employee handbook.
- Manage the department within budget, forecasting revenues and expenses.
- Prepare and adjust departmental budget, reporting discrepancies and financial insights.
- Maintain training and development programs, including safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
- Recruit, select, orient, train, and evaluate staff; conduct performance reviews, pay adjustments, and recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, health department, and other regulatory requirements.
- Maintain inventory, labor schedules, and supplies without compromising service quality.
- Act as Restaurant Manager when required.
- Handle telephone reservations, take room service orders, and process payment transactions.
- Support cross‑training and perform duties of all positions within the department—including serving, bussing, hosting, and expediting.
- High School diploma, secondary qualification, or equivalent.
- Experience with Marriott and Forbes processes and standards is a plus.
