Position Summary
The Beverage Shift Supervisor assists in managing the beverage service team and operations during an assigned shift. This position supports exceptional guest satisfaction through effective team training, operational oversight, and a hands‑on, lead‑by‑example management approach.
The Beverage Shift Supervisor helps ensure appropriate staffing, inventory availability, cash‑handling compliance, beverage service quality, and adherence to company policies and applicable regulations while supporting the Food & Beverage Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Practice, support, and maintain the Mission, Vision, and Values of War Horse Gaming.
- Provide the tools, training, communication, and supplies necessary for the beverage team to deliver exemplary guest service.
- Assist in scheduling beverage team members to ensure appropriate coverage during regular operating hours and special events.
- Monitor par levels and daily inventory of supplies.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Associate degree or equivalent related experience.
- Three (3) years of experience in food and beverage management, with a minimum of one (1) year in a supervisory capacity in a high-volume beverage gaming operation that includes banquets, entertainment, multiple bars, and restaurants.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Strong point‑of‑sale (POS) operational and programming experience.
- Knowledge of government health, hotel, or food service regulations.
- Proficiency in operational financial management, accountability, and budgeting.
- Ability to secure and maintain a Nebraska Gaming License.
- Serv Safe certification.
- TIPS Alcohol Awareness certification.
- Responsible for selling, serving, or distributing alcoholic beverages and/or exercising comp authority.
