Towne Place Suites Omaha West is seeking an experienced, service-oriented Front Office Manager to lead our front desk team and help create an exceptional experience for every guest. The ideal candidate is an energetic and dependable leader who communicates effectively, develops strong teams, and maintains high standards for guest service and hotel operations.
Position OverviewThe Front Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the front desk, ensuring excellent guest service, supervising and developing front office associates, and supporting the hotel’s overall operational and financial goals. This is a hands‑on leadership position that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and the ability to respond calmly and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
- Lead, train, schedule, coach, and motivate front desk associates.
- Ensure guests receive friendly, efficient, and professional service throughout their stay.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to questions, concerns, and service-recovery opportunities.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel services, amenities, rates, promotions, and local attractions.
- Oversee guest arrivals, departures, reservations, room assignments, and payment procedures.
- Ensure front desk associates follow established policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Review front office reports, guest accounts, cash transactions, and shift documentation for accuracy.
- Monitor room availability, occupancy, and rate information while working closely with housekeeping, maintenance, sales, and revenue management.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and associate recognition.
- Prepare and manage front office schedules based on business needs and budgeted labor expectations.
- Conduct regular department meetings and communicate hotel priorities, policy updates, and guest-service expectations.
- Support loyalty-program enrollment and recognition goals.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and professional front desk environment.
- Serve as Manager on Duty when assigned.
- Assist with other hotel departments and operational needs as necessary.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the General Manager.
- Previous hotel front desk experience is required.
- Previous supervisory or management experience is strongly preferred.
- Marriott or Towne Place Suites experience is a plus.
- Experience with hotel property-management systems and reservation platforms is preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to handle confidential information and difficult guest situations professionally.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; hospitality or business education is preferred.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on hotel needs, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
