Are you a strategic talent acquisition professional with a passion for building high-performing teams and innovative sourcing strategies? We are seeking a Growth Architect. At Southern Carlson, we recognize that our sales team is the engine of our success, and the person who builds that engine is crucial to our future. We are currently in a phase of rapid scaling, and we need a Talent Acquisition leader who thrives on the hunt.
This is a critical role for someone who is passionate about both hands-on sourcing, and strategic team leadership. The role will manage a small team initially, with the exciting opportunity to expand the team while establishing a best-in-class recruiting and sourcing function.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and Grow the Talent Acquisition Team: Manage, mentor, and develop TA professionals, and strategically plan for the expansion of the team based on organizational needs and impact.
- Drive High-Volume Sales Engine: Design, implement, and optimize innovative recruitment strategies for high-impact sales roles, from Sales Representatives to Sales Leadership.
- Stay Ahead of Trends: Continuously research and implement new sourcing methodologies, market trends, and competitive intelligence to maintain a competitive edge. Proactively map out sales teams at organizations in same or like industries. Understand market compensation trends, quota structures, and “A-Player” movement within the industry.
- Build Sourcing Infrastructure: Establish and refine sourcing processes, tools, and best practices. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and platforms to enhance our sourcing effectiveness.
- Hands-On Sourcing: Act as a lead sourcer for critical or hard-to-fill roles, demonstrating expertise in various sourcing techniques (e.g., Boolean search, social media, networking, competitive intelligence).
- Performance Based Screening: Develop rigorous vetting processes that focus on sales or role related metrics. For sales roles metrics include historical quota attainment, average deal size, and territory management success.
- Partnership and
Collaboration:
Work closely with leadership and hiring managers to understand their talent needs, provide market insights, and ensure a seamless candidate experience from initial outreach to interview. - Strategic Partnerships with Colleges/Trade Schools: Develop and nurture partnerships to establish robust talent pipelines for internships, co-operative programs, and full-time graduate hiring.
- Leverage Networks: Collaborate with strong internal leaders and employees across the organization to build robust referral programs and leverage their networks for warm introductions and passive talent sourcing.
- Talent Magnet: Leverage interpersonal skills to identify, attract, and persuade exceptional individuals to join our team.
- Data-Driven Decisions: Utilize data and analytics to track sourcing performance, identify trends, and make informed decisions to continuously improve our sourcing efforts.
- Employer Branding: Collaborate with HR Management and Marketing to enhance our employer brand and candidate value proposition.
- Training: Train and empower the hiring managers and broader talent acquisition team on effective sourcing techniques and tools.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, with a strong emphasis on hands‑on sourcing for key roles including sales and sales leadership.
- Proven track record (minimum 3+ years) specifically focused on sourcing and closing high‑revenue generating sales professionals in a competitive landscape.
- Proven experience managing, mentoring, or leading a team of talent acquisition professionals.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling sourcing functions or initiatives and recruitment strategies within an organization.
- Expertise in a wide range of sourcing techniques and tools (e.g., networking, Linked In Recruiter, Indeed, applicant tracking systems, specialized job boards, social media platforms).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive decision‑making and optimize processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to develop and nurture strong relationships with potential candidates, creating a positive experience with the strength to attract and persuade exceptional talent to join our team.
- A proactive, results‑oriented mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement in talent acquisition.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment and adapt to changing priorities.
