Hr Generalist

We are seeking a skilled HR generalist to support our team on a long-term contract basis in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is ideal for an HR professional with strong experience in benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations, who can step in quickly and provide hands-on support. The contractor will play a critical role in maintaining smooth HR operations while serving as a trusted resource for both employees and leadership.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full-cycle open enrollment process, including plan coordination, employee communications, and benefits education.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, providing timely, accurate guidance and issue resolution.
  • Support HR compliance initiatives, including policy updates, documentation audits, and adherence to applicable federal and state regulations.
  • Partner with benefit vendors and third-party providers to ensure smooth administration and timely resolution of issues.
  • Develop and deliver benefits communication materials, training sessions, and informational meetings as needed.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring employees receive clear and accurate information regarding benefits and HR policies.
  • Assist with recruitment activities such as resume review, candidate sourcing, and interview coordination when required.
  • Address employee relations matters, providing guidance aligned with company policies and HR best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within HRIS and benefits systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance.
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify process improvements, enhance efficiency, and support employee engagement initiatives.
