Job Title: Human Resources Generalist/Training & Development Specialist

Job Summary of the Human Resources Generalist/Training & Development Specialist:

The HR Generalist/Training & Development Specialist is part of the Human Resources team. In this role, you will lead learning and development initiatives across the organization while partnering with leaders to build employee skills, strengthen engagement, and support long-term business success. This position also serves as an HR Generalist, providing support across a variety of HR functions as needed.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Human Resources Generalist/Training & Development Specialist:
  • Manage all aspects of the Learning Management System (LMS) administration, including course creation, updates, user registration, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate training records and generate reports to measure learning effectiveness and knowledge transfer.
  • Train managers on LMS functionality, including documenting on-the-job training (OJT).
  • Facilitate classroom, virtual, and train-the-trainer sessions.
  • Coordinate and deliver new hire onboarding training in partnership with hiring managers.
  • Manage end-to-end training logistics, including scheduling, materials, travel, facilities, rooms, calendar invitations, and communications.
  • Ensure timely distribution of training materials related to product updates, system enhancements, and policy changes.
  • Maintain version control of training materials and ensure real-time updates across programs.
  • Research, secure, and administer external funding opportunities, including workforce development grants, to support training initiatives. Partner with internal stakeholders and external agencies to maximize available resources and ensure compliance with grant requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and department leaders to assess organizational training needs and develop comprehensive training plans.
  • Design and deliver learning programs across multiple modalities, including instructor-led classroom settings, fully virtual, and blended learning.
  • Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE) and adult learning principles to develop effective training solutions.
  • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to create technical & product training, as well as safety training in a manufacturing environment.
  • Develop training schedules, agendas, assessments, and materials for all active job functions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development across the organization.
  • Support leaders in identifying skill gaps and implementing targeted development plans.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to support employee development and engagement.
  • Foster collaboration and alignment among stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
  • Serve an a Human Resources Generalist providing support with various HR functions.
Education & Experience Requirements of Human Resources Generalist/Training & Development Specialist:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Education, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in instructional design, training, or learning & development
  • Experience administering a Learning Management System
  • Strong instructional design and training facilitation experience
  • Experience developing training programs and evaluating effectiveness
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and training tools (e.g., Articulate, Camtasia, Adobe)
  • Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with e-learning, webinars, and digital course creation preferred.
  • Video and audio editing experience preferred.

    Experience building leadership development programs and learning communities preferred.
