Position Summary: This position coordinates and prepares non-immigrant employment-based visa petitions for international employees sponsored by the University of Nebraska Medical Center. This role provides guidance to hiring departments and international employees on sponsorship processes and federal regulations.

Education:
Bachelor's degree
Required Education Major/Training: International Studies, Pre-law, Business, Human Resources or a related field
Required Experience: 3 years
Required Experience Details: Experience filing Labor Certifications, H-1B petitions, and/or managing related caseloads.
Required Computer Applications: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook
Required Other Computer Applications: Adobe Professional
Required Additional
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of employment-based visa categories such as H-1B, TN, and O-1
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex documentation
- Ability to interpret and apply federal immigration regulations
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse faculty, staff, and administrators
Preferred Education: Master's degree or equivalent
Preferred Education Major/Training: International Studies, law, Business, or a related field
Preferred Experience:
- Experience using SEVIS and Sunapsis.
- Experience interpreting and implementing federal regulations and institutional policies, such as those in human resources and/or related to sponsoring and hosting international employees and scholars.
- Experience providing guidance or advising to international populations (students, scholars, or employees) in a university or similar organizational setting.
