Regulatory Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an HR Coordinator to join our HR Business Partner team as an individual contributor. This role provides broad exposure to the full range of HR functions — recruiting, onboarding, benefits, policy administration, and compliance — and is ideal for an HR professional looking to deepen their skill set and grow with the organization.
Location:Onsite at either Littleton, CO or Omaha, NE
Key Responsibilities
- Post job openings across recruiting platforms
- Track candidates through the hiring process and maintain applicant records
- Coordinate interview scheduling and communication with hiring managers and candidates
- Coordinate onboarding tasks for new hires, ensuring a smooth and welcoming start
- Support offboarding processes and maintain accurate records throughout the employee lifecycle
- Develop working knowledge of benefits administration and assist with new hire enrollments and open enrollment
- Track enrollment deadlines across multiple entities, plans, and carriers
- Respond to employee questions regarding plan options, deadlines, and qualifying life events
- Over time, build competency to support payroll administration
- Maintain and update company policy documents, including employee handbooks, travel & expense policies, and addenda
- Maintain personnel files and ensure proper segregation of confidential records
- Assist with sorting and routing incoming mail from government agencies, vendors, and solicitors for multiple legal entities
- Support compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including policy updates as regulations change
- Maintain current labor law postings across company locations
- Assist with compliance-related record-keeping and audits
- 3+ years of HR-related experience
- Experience with an HRIS (Paychex preferred)
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required;
Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred - Working knowledge of HR compliance requirements (e.g. I-9, record-keeping, labor law postings)
- Strong computer literacy, including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook) and general comfort learning new software tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, particularly in a multi-entity and multi-jurisdiction environment
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to shift priorities and pivot at a moment’s notice in a fast-moving environment
- Interest in pursuing an HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) encouraged and supported
- Pay range: $55,000–$65,000, depending on experience and location
- Comprehensive benefits for medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, basic life and long‑term disability; HRA, HSA employer contributions, and medical and dependent care FSA; supplemental health protection plans
- 401(k) Plan with 100% match up to 3%, then a 50% match up to 5% of employee contributions
The role involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working in front of a computer and may occasionally require lifting up to 20 pounds. Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods such as open enrollment or year-end processing. As a non‑exempt position, all hours worked, including any overtime, must be recorded and are subject to overtime pay in accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) and applicable state law.
