Service Now Architect – Presales & Advisory

Role OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Service Now Architect to provide part-time pre-sales leadership and strategic advisory services across Service Now-led transformation initiatives. This role is focused on solution architecture, presales support, and early-phase engagement leadership, working closely with System Integrators (SIs), sales teams, and enterprise US-based clients.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across Service Now platform architecture, enterprise workflows, governance models, and large-scale implementations, with the ability to clearly articulate business value, operating models, and implementation roadmaps during presales and client discovery phases.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Service Now solution design for pre-sales activities including RFP/RFI responses, proposals, demos, and client presentations
- Define end-to-end Service Now architectures aligned with client business objectives
- Design implementation of roadmaps, effort estimates, staffing models, and pricing structures
- Support sales teams in positioning Service Now as a platform for enterprise transformation, not just ITSM
- Contribute to win strategies and solution narratives for complex deals
- Client & SI Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to enterprise US clients and System Integrator partners
- Lead discovery and solutioning workshops to understand current-state processes and pain points
- Collaborate with SI teams on co-delivery models, governance, and platform ownership
- Support executive-level conversations with CIOs, IT leaders, and business stakeholders
- Service Now Platform & Transformation Advisory
- Architect solutions across Service Now modules, including:
- HRSD, CSM
- GRC, Sec Ops
- Custom App Development & Integrations
- Define governance models, data strategy, security, and compliance frameworks
- Advise on platform standardization, reusability, and technical debt reduction
- Define KPIs, success metrics, and operational reporting models
- Delivery Enablement (As Needed)
- Provide architectural oversight during early delivery phases
- Review solution designs, implementation plans, and configuration approaches
- Support transition from presales to delivery with minimal risk and rework
- Mentor Service Now leads, developers, and delivery managers
- 125+ years of experience in enterprise IT, workflow platforms, or digital transformation
- 8+ years of hands-on Service Now experience, including architect-level responsibilities
- Proven experience working with System Integrators and enterprise clients
- Strong experience supporting US-based customers across pre-sales and delivery
- Deep understanding of:
- Service Now platform architecture
- Workflow design and automation
- Integrations (REST, SOAP, MID Server, enterprise systems)
- Security, governance, and compliance
- RFP responses
- Client workshops and executive presentations
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Service Now certifications (CSA, CIS, CAD, CTA preferred)
- Experience with multi-instance or global Service Now deployments
- Exposure to regulated industries (Financial Services, Healthcare, Public Sector, Utilities)
- Experience defining Service Now operating models and Centers of Excellence
