Windows Systems Engineer  About Your Role
We're seeking a seasoned Windows Systems Engineer with a passion for designing and optimizing enterprise-scale infrastructure. This role focuses on solving complex technical challenges, driving automation, and engineering solutions that enhance system reliability, efficiency, and scalability. You will play a key role in architecting and implementing changes across thousands of servers in multiple data centers, supporting a global Windows environment for hosted Fiserv clients.

Collaboration with cross-functional teams will be essential as you plan and execute large-scale deployments, troubleshoot advanced system issues, and develop automation frameworks to streamline operations.
What You'll Do
Design, implement, and optimize Windows-based infrastructure across thousands of servers in multiple data centers.
Engineer solutions for OS, storage, networking, and performance challenges in a complex Windows environment.
Perform capacity planning and resource optimization (CPU, memory, disk) to ensure scalability and high availability.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and frameworks using Power Shell or Python to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
Integrate and manage third-party software programmatically across large server fleets.
Collaborate on architecture reviews and infrastructure change planning, ensuring alignment with business and security requirements.
Utilize tools such as Service Point, SailPoint, Splunk, and App Map for reporting, automation, and change management.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for system performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Experience You'll Need to Have
5+ years of enterprise systems engineering experience with hands-on expertise in:  Windows Server OS ), Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Failover Clustering, IIS, SSL Certificates, Perfmon, Wireshark, VMware and vSphere
3+ years of experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Power Shell).
Strong understanding of infrastructure design principles, storage, backup, and networking technologies.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent military experience.
Experience That Would Be Great to Have
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively with internal teams, managers, engineers, and vendors.
Familiarity with ITIL practices including Incident, Change, and Problem Management.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with strong composure and crisis-management skills.
How You'll Work
This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis.
This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
