Product Manager

Guardify helps criminal justice ecosystems with technology that accelerates justice and healing for survivors of crime. We are a mission-driven, rapidly growing startup and a sustainable social enterprise. We got our start working with Child Advocacy Centers to protect sensitive child forensic interview evidence. Today we offer a cloud-based platform for digital evidence management, case management, and capture—giving our customers one place to secure evidence, run cases, and record what matters.

• As a Product Manager, you will drive vision, strategy, and execution for 1–2 high-impact product areas of the platform. You are the person who strives to understand the people we're building for—what they need, how they work, where they get stuck. You're smart and technically apt, but your edge is being human-smart. You define strategy and roadmap; engineering and design partner with you to shape and execute it.
  
  You can expect the majority of your time in discovery, definition, prototyping, and cross-functional execution—we build fast, and we care that we're building the right things.

• Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead discovery:
    Build a strong understanding of Guardify’s platform, and the people and problems we're solving for, validate with research and conversation, frame what to solve.

  • Define product strategy and roadmap for your area(s); partner with engineering and design to shape and execute.

  • Prototype in the same environment we build and ship from—your experiments and iterations live where the product lives, not in a separate design tool or doc. We use AI-assisted tools as part of this workflow; curiosity and drive to learn are essential, and we'll support you.

  • Define copy, flows, and experiences so solutions are clear and built for how people think and work.

  • Align engineering, design, and go-to-market on the right problems and tradeoffs; communicate strategy and progress clearly.

  • Stay close to the people using what we build. Human conversation matters most—it puts data in context. Data-informed, but conversation tells you why.

  • Use data and feedback to see how people respond; ship, learn, iterate. Right problem, strong design; we don't pit speed against quality.

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and keep delivery moving without long handoffs.

• 3-5 years product management experience (B2B or similar), with a track record of shipping outcomes that matter to the people using the product.

• You get people—you read situations, pick up on what's unsaid, and turn that into product sense.

• Strong problem-solution thinking and strong bias to action.

• Mission-driven—you want your work to matter for the communities we serve.

• Communication is a strength. You can communicate effectively across many channels with audiences of varied backgrounds.

• You’re comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch.

• Experience building or iterating with AI-assisted tools in your workflow. Familiarity with Cursor, Claude Code, latest LLMs.

• Background in UX design, data engineering, justice, gov tech, public sector, or mission-critical software.

• Familiarity with digital evidence, case management launching hardware products, or adjacent domains.

• Experience working with physical hardware solutions such as interview recording equipment.

We’re a lean, scrappy team. We value momentum over ceremony, clarity over process for its own sake, and real-world impact over perfect abstractions. Engineers, product managers, and designers collaborate closely with our customers, designing and building from the strength of their skillset and experience.

This role is not a great fit if you prefer heavy process, rigid ceremonies, or perfection over learning and iteration.
