Systems Administrator
Akkodis is seeking a Mainframe Developer for a Contract with a client in Omaha, NE (Remote). Candidate must have strong expertise in Mainframe technologies including JCL, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and Topaz to support system improvements and modernization initiatives.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities- Develop and modify COBOL, JCL, DB2, and related mainframe components to support ongoing system improvements.
- Execute modernization tasks and assist in the de‑commissioning of legacy mainframe systems.
- Perform production support activities, ensuring stable system operations and timely issue resolution.
- Monitor batch jobs and provide support for scheduling, failures, and performance‑related adjustments.
- Handle Firecall support requests by responding to urgent system access needs for critical fixes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to maintain, enhance, and stabilize mainframe application environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of Experience Required.
- Strong proficiency in Mainframe technologies including JCL, COBOL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and related tools.
- Proven ability to support system improvements, production operations, batch monitoring, and mainframe modernization activities.
Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour.
