AI Engineer, Data Analyst, Data Science Manager
Guardify is a mission-driven technology company building digital evidence solutions that protect vulnerable populations and support justice, healing, and accountability. We work closely with Child Advocacy Centers and public-sector partners to safeguard some of the most sensitive data imaginable—and we move fast, thoughtfully, and with purpose.
We’re a lean, scrappy team. We value momentum over ceremony, clarity over process for its own sake, and real-world impact over perfect abstractions. Engineers, product managers, and designers collaborate closely with everyone designing and building from the strength of their skillset and experience.
The position is on-site only, located at Millwork Commons (1111 N 13th Street, Omaha NE), available to local applicants only.
The RoleThis is a high-growth, high-trust role with strong mentorship.
You won’t be expected to have all the answers—but you will be expected to engage deeply, ask good questions, and take ownership of your work as your skills grow. You’ll work on real production systems, contributing to solutions that matter, with guidance and support from more experienced teammates.
You’ll be given problems (sometimes loosely defined) and collaborate with others to shape solutions—learning how to move from idea → implementation → iteration while balancing user needs, technical constraints, and security considerations.
AI-assisted development is a core part of how we work—not a bonus or an afterthought. You should be comfortable using modern AI tools to accelerate learning, coding, testing, and iteration, while also building a solid understanding of the systems you’re working in.
What You’ll DoContribute to solutions across the stack, from implementation through iteration
Collaborate with technical and non-technical teammates, including product, design, operations, sales, marketing, and customers
Build and maintain frontend and backend systems with guidance, with an emphasis on security, privacy, and reliability
Use AI tools thoughtfully to learn faster and improve productivity without losing understanding
Improve existing systems when needed—learning to balance pragmatism with quality
Grow your engineering skills in a small team where your work and questions are valued
We’re less interested in perfect resumes and more interested in how you think and how you learn
.
You might be a great fit if you:
Are early in your engineering career but can already build real things
Are curious, proactive, and willing to ask questions when things are unclear
Care about why something is being built, not just how
Communicate clearly and respectfully with both technical and non-technical people
Are excited to learn new tools, including AI-assisted development
See engineering as a creative, problem-solving discipline—not just writing code
We don’t expect mastery—just a solid foundation and a desire to grow.
Experience with Type Script and modern React (professional or substantial personal/project experience)
Experience building or working with backend APIs
Understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts
Familiarity with cloud platforms, deployment, or automated testing is a plus
Experience in startups, social enterprises, or fast-moving teams is a bonus—but not required
