Senior Data Platform and AI Analytics Lead

Akkodis is building a next‑generation Enterprise Data Platform to power analytics, machine learning, and GenAI capabilities across the organization. This role blends technical leadership, engineering maturity, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver AI‑ready data products across structured and unstructured sources using platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Palantir.

You will drive modern engineering best practices — pipelines as code, CI/CD automation, observability, and secure enterprise retrieval — while enabling reliable data products that support LLM, retrieval‑augmented generation, and enterprise AI initiatives.

Pay/Salary Range: $135,000/year to $175,000/year. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience (people manager, tech lead manager, or equivalent).
• 8+ years in data engineering, platform engineering, or related roles building production-grade pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and modern data engineering tooling.
• Strong proficiency in Git workflows, CI/CD automation, automated testing, and observability.
• Experience preparing structured and unstructured data for AI/ML and GenAI use cases.
• Experience with unstructured data processing (extraction, parsing, enrichment, chunking, deduplication).
• Experience implementing governance/security controls such as permission-aware access, PII handling, and auditability.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to anticipate technical challenges.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with vector search (Azure AI Search, Elastic/Open Search, Databricks Vector Search).
• Familiarity with orchestration tools (Databricks Workflows, Airflow) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Cloud Formation).
• Experience designing hybrid retrieval and relevance-tuning approaches.
