Data Engineer, Database Administrator, Systems Engineer
Leidos has an immediate opportunity for a Senior Data Systems Manager to help architect and manage various data solutions for government customers.
In this role you will work collaboratively with an engineering team to support software deployed in classified networks, provide database administration, and collaborate across teams.
Primary Responsibilities:- Assist with database administration including design layout, installation, configuration, upgrades, consolidation, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, tables, PL/SQL scripts, and associated documentation.
- Perform data conversion and server migrations.
- Assist with database implementation, security, privileges and regular maintenance tasks.
- Identify technical environment issues and recommend solutions.
- Mentor and cross-train team members.
- Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of database experience or Master's degree and 2+ years (or equivalent).
- US Citizen able to obtain and maintain at least a Secret clearance.
- Experience in database administration, scripting, documentation.
- Ability to conduct backups and recovery.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Active Secret or higher clearance.
- Experience migrating/implementing data solutions in the cloud.
- Familiarity with containerized databases.
- Experience with database modeling/architecture.
- Familiarity with web application technologies such as Web Logic, Apache.
- Knowledge of version control systems.
- Knowledge of Agile development.
- Experience with multiple OS (Mac OSX, Windows, Linux).
- Familiarity with at least one RDBMS (Postgre
SQL preferred). - Proficiency with MS Office.
