Senior Data Systems Manager

Leidos is seeking a Senior Data Systems Manager to architect and manage data solutions for our government customers. The role involves collaborating with a high‑performing engineering team, supporting software deployment to classified networks, and working closely with Leidos and government engineering and product teams.

• Assist with database administration, including design layout, installation, configuration, upgrades, consolidation, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance.
• Develop and maintain stored procedures, views, tables, PL/SQL scripts, and create associated documentation.
• Perform data conversion and server migrations.
• Assist with database implementation, security, privileges, and regular maintenance tasks.
• Identify technical environment issues and recommend solutions to mitigate problems.
• Collaborate with engineers to support software deployed into customers' classified networks.
• Work independently and as a team member to mentor and cross‑train colleagues.

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of relevant database experience, or Master's degree with 2+ years.
• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain at least a Secret security clearance.
• Experience in database administration, including developing and maintaining scripts, procedures, and documentation.
• Proficiency in performing database backups and recovery processes.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Active Secret or higher security clearance.
• Experience migrating or implementing data solutions in a cloud environment.
• Familiarity with containerized databases.
• Experience with database modeling and architecture.
• Knowledge of web application technologies such as Web Logic and Apache.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.
• Familiarity with multiple operating systems (MacOSX, Windows, Linux).
• Experience with at least one relational database management system, preferably Postgre
  
  SQL.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint).
