** Primary Purpose of this Position:
** Support Drake-Williams Steel's technology users, business systems, and software applications.
This position provides hands-on IT support while assisting with business process improvement,software development, automation, reporting, and technology projects. The role provides opportunities to grow into application development, desktop support, business analysis, systems administration, or other technology specialties based on individual interests and capabilities.

* Essential Job Functions:
** 1. Provide technical support to company users and troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
2. Set up and maintain workstations, monitors, mobile devices, phones, and related equipment.
3. Support company camera systems and other technology infrastructure.
4. Assist with business software applications, databases, reporting tools, and integrations.
5. Participate in business process improvement and automation initiatives.
6. Assist with software development projects, testing, documentation, and deployment activities.
7. Utilize modern development and AI-assisted tools including Git Lab, Visual Studio Code, AI coding assistants, and related technologies.
8. Create reports, dashboards, workflows, and software solutions to improve business operations.
9. Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and training materials.
10. Order and maintain inventory of technology equipment and supplies.
11. Collaborate with users to identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology.
12. Other tasks as directed by the supervisor## Qualifications

* Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
** 1. Strong interest in technology and continuous learning.
2. Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, networking, and business systems.
3. Ability to analyze problems and develop practical solutions.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to learn software development concepts and business processes.
6. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and business software applications.
7. Exposure to programming, scripting, databases, reporting tools, Git Lab, VS Code, or AI-assisted development tools is preferred but not required.
8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple projects
9. Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
** Physical Demands:
** 1. Stand OCCASIONALLY over the course of the 8 to 12 hour work shift.
2. Walk OCCASIONALLY over the course of the 8 to 12 hour work shift. The distances walked will range from a distance of a few feet to several hundred feet.
3. Sit FREQUENTLY to CONTINUOUSLY over the course of the 8 to 12 hour work shift.
4. Lift weights up to 30 pounds OCCASIONALLY from floor to head level, which includes the various prints, books, binders, and papers utilized to perform the usual work duties.
5. Lift weights up to 50 pounds RARELY to OCCASIONALLY from floor to chest level, which may include boxes of papers, books, presentation materials, and project documents.
6. Carry weights noted above distances ranging from a few feet to several hundred feet. Fifty (50) pounds would be carried 50 feet. Lifting devices are available.
7. Climb OCCASIONALLY onto steps or ladders.
8. Stoop or crouch OCCASIONALLY while performing the regular job duties.
9. Kneel OCCASIONALLY in the commission of job duties, depending upon the task.
10. Crawl OCCASIONALLY up to 10 feet to plug in equipment, retrieve dropped materials, or access work areas as needed.
11. Reach forward OCCASIONALLY to FREQUENTLY to perform job duties or retrieve materials.
12. Reach overhead OCCASIONALLY to retrieve books, supplies, and other materials.
13. Push and pull drawers open OCCASIONALLY to FREQUENTLY to retrieve tools or supplies.
14. Gross finger dexterity skills required operating a computer, telephone, and other equipment utilized in the course of standard job duties.
** Non-Material Handling Demands
** 1. Employee is expected to work 40 hours a week. However, hours including overtime, weekends, and travel may be required based on Drake-Williams Steel's needs.
2. Hear sufficiently to be aware of safety issues.
3. Visual ability to read and interpret material to satisfactorily do job.
4. Exposure to heat, cold, wet and humid conditions OCCASIONALLY during customer, jobsite, and facility visits.
5. Exposure to fumes, odors and dusts OCCASIONALLY during customer, jobsite, and facility visits.
6. Exposure to solvents, greases, oils, and coolants OCCASIONALLY.
7. Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment. PPE includes steel-toe safety shoes, hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats.
