Aboutthe Role
As a Coil Repair Technician I, you'll test, troubleshoot, and repair MRI coils to bring them back to OEM specifications. Working hands-on with electronic test equipment, you'll perform component- and PCB-level rework - including SMT and through-hole soldering - while learning from an experienced team. It's an ideal entry point for someone with foundational electronics skills who wants to grow in medical imaging.
WhatYou'll Do
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair coils to OEM specifications
- Perform component- and PCB-level rework, including hand soldering and SMT/PTH repairs
- Run QA testing to confirm parts are fully operational before they ship
- Document test results accurately and keep inventory records up to date
- Repair up to 12-channel coils as your skills develop
- Follow the quality and documentation standards (ISO 13485, FDA) that keep our work audit-ready
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate degree, equivalent coursework, or military training in electronics or a related field
- 0–3 years of relevant experience and foundational electronics knowledge
- Soldering experience, ideally lead-free
- Comfort reading electrical schematics and using multimeters and analyzers
