DevOps Engineer

Position Summary

The Dev Ops Engineer will work collaboratively with software engineering and product teams to deploy and operate our systems. They will automate and streamline our operations and processes to maximize efficiency. Additional activities include building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations and troubleshooting and resolving issues in our internal and customer environments.

• Implement and support InEight’s applications in Azure utilizing IaaS and PaaS services.
• Proactively identify and reduce issues by designing, testing, and implementing software‑based solutions.
• Drive efficiencies through software improvement and root cause analysis resulting in service delivery, maturity, and scalability.
• Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
• Adhere to company security policies and effectively control access to data.
• Maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, automation, trouble tickets, network configurations, hardware/software inventory, and audit requests.
• Perform systems monitoring and alert remediation.
• Off‑hours and on‑call work as required.

• Minimum 10‑year experience in the IT field or in a related discipline.
• Minimum 6‑year experience working in a software development environment.
• Minimum 4‑year experience working in Azure or AWS cloud.
• Minimum 4‑year scripting experience.
• Minimum 3‑year Azure Dev Ops experience.
• Preferred:
  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Ability to direct and act as a resource for less experienced team members and relay necessary information.
• Willingness to work an on‑call rotation to provide 24/7 support.
• Familiarity with automation concepts.
