Data Scientist (Audit Analytics & Automation) - ( 193512 )
We are seeking a motivated, proactive, and tech‑savvy professional to join our dynamic Internal Audit team. In this role, you will help transform Internal Audit through data‑driven insights, scalable automation, and innovative audit techniques that improve efficiency and enhance risk coverage. You will build the analytics roadmap, redefine audit processes by leveraging automation, data analytics, and generative AI, and ultimately lead continuous auditing programs while mentoring future team members.
Key Responsibilities- Analyze a wide range of datasets across different subject areas and drive the analytical process from start to finish.
- Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, model development, and natural language processing to identify trends and patterns.
- Design and implement automated audit procedures and reporting.
- Visualize data insights through dashboards and reports.
- Develop continuous auditing and monitoring processes using AI tools and data analytics.
- Collaborate with Internal Audit and HDR’s Data Architecture teams to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, data science techniques, and trends in internal audit and automation.
- Train team members on the use of automated tools and reporting systems.
- Support financial, operational, compliance, and technology audits as needed.
- Snowflake (data warehousing and analytics)
- Power BI or other data visualization tools
- Alteryx or similar data preparation platforms
- Python or SQL for data analysis and automation
- Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools such as UiPath or Automation Anywhere
- Experience with ERP systems
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
- Ability to analyze business functions, assess risk, and tailor the nature, extent, and timing of audit procedures accordingly.
