About this Opportunity

Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Orion enables a data‑driven decision‑making culture by providing insights at the point of decision. Leveraging exploratory analysis and a strong understanding of business objectives, this role ensures that critical descriptive and leading indicators are readily accessible within decision‑makers’ workflows. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst synthesizes available data into meaningful insights, delivering actionable recommendations and outlining opportunities for deeper analysis.

External candidates must work in‑office at one of the following locations for at least 3 days per week:
Omaha, NE.

In this role, you’ll get to
  • Own end‑to‑end analytics initiatives, from problem definition and requirements gathering through insight delivery.
  • Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define, scope, and prioritize analytical problems.
  • Develop intuitive, high‑quality dashboards and visualizations that support day‑to‑day and strategic decision‑making.
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of data through rigorous validation and quality checks.
  • Use SQL and related technologies to extract, transform, and analyze data from multiple back‑end systems.
  • Analyze data proactively to identify business trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Communicate insights effectively by synthesizing results and tailoring narratives for diverse audiences.
  • Document code, data logic, and analytical assumptions to ensure transparency and re‑usability.
  • Collaborate with engineering and development teams to address data quality issues and evolving data needs.
  • Build descriptive and predictive models to test hypotheses and support business decisions.
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify opportunities for automation and improved efficiency.
  • Contribute to data governance efforts, including standards, controls, and best practices.
  • Provide timely analytical support for near‑term business needs while contributing to larger cross‑functional initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Ability to multi‑task while maintaining careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually and within a team environment.
  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities.
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Effective written, listening, and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective problem‑solving and organizational skills.
  • Has minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Analytics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, or related field.
  • Has minimum of 5 years of hands‑on experience as a Data Analyst.
  • Possess minimum of 2 years of experience writing SQL queries.
  • Has minimum of 2 years of experience creating dashboards in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or related tools.
  • Demonstrates success in solving business problems through analysis.
  • Preferably has experience working within the Financial Services industry.
  • Owns and manages relationships with stakeholders directly and works effectively with people at all levels in an organization.

Salary Range

$83,076.00 - $

The pay listed in this posting indicates the estimated pay at the time of this posting; however, may vary depending on geographic location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
