The Opportunity
Cordova is seeking a strategic Software Quality Assurance Specialist
. This role is designed for a quality champion who can direct the design, creation, and implementation of automated testing frameworks to significantly reduce risk and accelerate "time to value" for critical software products.
As a technical lead for testing practices, you will guide the team through complex work orders, ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features, and foster a quality-first mindset within the development lifecycle. This is a high-impact role that combines hands‑on automation with leadership‑level oversight of product interactions and system functionality.
Key Responsibilities Automation & Strategy- Testing Strategy: Design and integrate advanced testing strategies into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) to ensure seamless execution.
- Automation Leadership: Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort by designing and implementing automated, repeatable tests using Selenium and C#.
- Comprehensive Planning: Lead the planning for regression, functional, data validation, system integration, and performance/load testing.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders to execute test plans and implement robust test cases.
- Root Cause Analysis: Document and analyze test results, recommending specific corrective actions and improvements to the development team.
- Monitoring: Leverage application performance monitoring and observability tools to track system health and identify bottlenecks.
- Technical Lead: Serve as the "go-to" resource for technical questions regarding testing coverage, functionality, and modern QA practices.
- Agile Integration: Champion Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and utilize planning tools like Azure Dev Ops to manage quality work streams.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Tenure: Minimum of 3+ years of progressive work experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Tech Stack Mastery: Proven experience with Selenium, C#, Postman
, and related automation technologies. - Agile Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Agile practices and software development procedures.
- CI/CD Expertise: Familiarity with continuous delivery and continuous integration pipelines.
- Domain Knowledge: Understanding of the insurance industry and related software products is a major plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to lead and motivate others.
- Omaha-Based: 50% Hybrid work environment (Office/Home).
