Job Summary

Assist in requirement design and validation. Validate software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply and maintain quality standards for company products. Develop and execute software test plans. Analyze and write test standards and procedures. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in validation and modification of software. Analyze test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.

Lead automation efforts and make automation framework decisions. Execute and provide feedback to engineers, architects, and product management on performance, load and stress tests that determine platform and application capabilities of the end‑to‑end system. Interact with vendors, customers, and internal sales and support organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Involved in the design of product and project requirements.
  • Identify test approaches, coverage, requirement gaps and risks.
  • Ensure quality measures are included in the initial project design.
  • Write detailed test strategies and plans, using different test estimation techniques to balance coverage and efficiency.
  • Contribute directly to project estimation efforts.
  • Write detailed test scripts to test the functionality of the proposed system.
  • Perform risk analysis on various components of the system to determine the most effective use of testing resources.
  • Ensure requirements traceability in the team and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and manage complex test environments and test data conditions.
  • Focus on solution‑oriented approach and identify complete end‑to‑end testing needs involving multiple parts of a product and system.
  • Manage the validation test phase, including executing scripts, monitoring testers, logging and tracking problems found, and regression testing any changes made to the system.
  • Design and manage automated test approach for projects and ensure manual tests are automated using suitable tools and frameworks.
  • Review and approve the Integration Test Plan and Procedures produced by the product Quality Solution Expert/QE Lead.
  • Validate the completion of Integrated Testing.
  • Consult with development engineers on problem resolution and suggest functional solutions.
  • Develop technical training for ACI staff and customers.
  • Execute and analyze outputs from scripts that capture application and platform quality metrics.
  • Provide performance and architecture support and guidance to product teams.
  • Support the sales organization in sizing for potential customers requesting ACI products on ACI‑supported hardware platforms.
  • Troubleshoot errors found in the test environment with minimal help from development teams.
  • Configure complex software solutions by following user guides and manuals.
  • Analyze defects functionally and technically before assigning them to development teams.
  • Support project managers and other stakeholders to complete projects within schedule, without compromising quality.
  • Raise quality issues to the appropriate level of management using established channels of escalation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Understand and adhere to all corporate policies, including the ACI Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience in software testing.
  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance and/or systems testing experience.
  • Experience with Test Management and Defect Management Tools.
  • 3+ years of test automation experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding and experience with platform and operating system architecture.
  • Relevant software quality certification preferred.
Work Environment
  • Standard work environment.
  • Majority of time spent on PC.
  • Travel required, may be domestic or international.
