Analyst, GIS

Summary
As a GIS Analyst, you will support business and operational needs by collecting, analyzing, and integrating geospatial data from multiple sources to produce accurate mapping products and spatial analyses. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality GIS solutions, manage multiple projects, and provide data-driven insights that support utility operations and decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Collect, interpret, and integrate geospatial data from maps, databases, graphs, satellite imagery, aerial photography, and geologic sources.
- Perform spatial analysis using relational database management systems and generate reports based on analytical findings.
- Create and maintain accurate GIS cartographic products to support utility operations.
- Track project requests, deadlines, and status using established logging processes.
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand business, operational, and public service needs and deliver GIS exhibits in a timely manner.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and meeting deadlines.
- Serve as a liaison with external organizations, businesses, community groups, and industry associations.
- Respond to data requests independently and deliver solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable company policies, procedures, codes, and regulations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 5 years of relevant GIS experience, or 7 years of related experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Experience with GIS principles, practices, automated drafting, and mapping techniques.
- Knowledge of GIS concepts, spatial analysis, computerized mapping, attribute data conversion, and relational database design.
- Understanding of global positioning survey concepts, structured programming principles, and computer system operations.
- Experience using analytical tools, relational databases, and Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Proficiency with PC applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
