Solutions Architect (Omaha, NE)

Job Overview

The Solution Architect serves as a strategic technology leader responsible for designing and delivering scalable, secure, and business‑aligned enterprise solutions. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, enterprise architects, and vendors to translate business requirements into end‑to‑end technical solutions that drive operational efficiency and long‑term organizational value. The Solution Architect provides technical leadership throughout the solution lifecycle, ensuring adherence to architecture standards, governance processes, security requirements, and best practices.

This individual plays a key role in shaping technology roadmaps, evaluating emerging technologies, mentoring technical teams, and ensuring solutions are designed to meet both current and future business needs. This is a direct‑hire position.

Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Design
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand strategic objectives and translate requirements into scalable technology solutions.
  • Design end‑to‑end architecture solutions that encompass software, hardware, integrations, infrastructure, security, performance, reliability, scalability, and lifecycle management considerations.
  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage and reuse existing technologies and solutions to maximize efficiency and reduce redundancy.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and technical leaders to establish technology roadmaps, system standards, and architectural direction.
  • Ensure solution designs align with enterprise architecture principles and support both current and future business objectives.
Technology Strategy & Innovation
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement technologies, platforms, tools, and services that align with business requirements and organizational capabilities.
  • Maintain architecture documentation, including solution diagrams, technical specifications, standards, and design artifacts.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise and strategic guidance on technology investments and architectural decisions.
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, vendors, and technical organizations.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Lead Engineers, and leadership teams to ensure alignment with enterprise strategies, governance frameworks, and technology roadmaps.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with technology vendors and strategic partners.
  • Participate in financial planning activities, including budget development, resource forecasting, project estimation, and RFP/RFI evaluations.
  • Provide consultative support for complex, non‑standard, or emerging business and technology needs.
  • Mentor and develop architects, engineers, and technical team members to strengthen organizational capabilities.
Architecture Governance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all solutions comply with established technology standards, security policies, and governance requirements.
  • Lead and support architecture review boards, governance committees, and planning processes.
  • Establish and maintain processes that ensure solutions adhere to architectural principles and organizational standards.
  • Review projects and initiatives to ensure alignment with technical strategies and engineering best practices.
  • Partner with architects and engineering leaders to ensure solutions meet non‑functional requirements, including:

    • Business Continuity
Financial & Operational Accountability
  • Contribute to annual budgeting, resource planning, capital forecasting, and technology investment decisions.
  • Monitor budget performance and provide recommendations regarding resource allocation and technology spending.
  • Support organizational goals by aligning technology initiatives with strategic business priorities.
Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership
  • Lead initiatives
