Google isn’t just a software company. The Hardware Operations team monitors the state‑of‑the‑art physical infrastructure behind Google’s search technology. As an Operations Technician, you’ll install, configure, test, troubleshoot and maintain hardware such as servers, their components, and server software. You’ll also configure complex networking components and may lead small project teams on larger installations.

• Experience with component‑level repairs and troubleshooting on technical equipment.
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50lb (23kg) of equipment and work physically over extended periods of time.
• Ability to work non‑standard hours, including weekends, night shifts, holidays, and shift‑based schedules.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Completion of the online Google IT Support Professional Certificate program.
• At least two years of experience diagnosing and troubleshooting operating systems, computer/server hardware, or networking protocols.
• Experience working within a data center or network operations center environment.
• Experience performing component‑level repairs and troubleshooting on IT equipment or in a similar role (e.g., Systems Administration, Network Deployment Engineer, Help Desk Technician).
• Ability to collaborate with teams, adapt to changes, and overcome challenges.

US: $78,000 – $111,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits.
