Senior ICT Designer

HDR seeks a Senior ICT Designer to lead the design, specification, and implementation of ICT systems and security solutions across projects.

• Evaluate, select, and apply state‑of‑the‑art ICT systems, technologies, procedures, and design modifications.
• Design and specify ICT systems including fiber optic backbones, horizontal cabling, bundling, and cabling pathways.
• Take responsibility for the complete set of construction documents.
• Investigate assignments with broad general instruction to determine objectives that require examination of many variables.
• Independently perform ICT engineering assignments with general guidance on expected results.
• Select and recommend procedures, ICT devices, and equipment; write comprehensive specifications covering all ICT system matters and review work directly with owners as part of the project team.
• Assist other Designers, Project Coordinators, or Technicians as needed and be responsible for work in all phases of the security design process.
• Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Project Coordinators or Technicians when required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• CPP certification.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in security system design and familiarity with Autodesk.
• RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) is helpful.
