IT Project Manager, Scrum Master
IT Scrum Master (Omaha, NE)
Within the First National Information Technology group, the Scrum Master is accountable for building high‑performing Agile teams and ensuring the delivery of IT projects. The role provides leadership and experience to enable teams to set goals, remove impediments, collaborate across the organization, and mitigate risks. Scrum Masters facilitate Agile ceremonies, promote an Agile mindset, and lead continuous improvement within FNBO’s delivery system.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate Agile activities and meetings—daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Work with Product Owners and Program Managers to understand the product roadmap, priorities, and schedules to guide delivery
- Guide the team on Agile principles and values to enable and promote self‑organization
- Lead the team to make realistic and achievable delivery commitments using standard Agile metrics and reporting techniques
- Manage dependencies across the organization
- Build and support a strong team dynamic where people thrive and inspire each other
- Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders to manage expectations
- Ensure tools and processes are documented and available for team use
- Solicit and use input to evolve the delivery system to improve velocity and quality
- 5+ years of relevant IT experience, including strong understanding of customer/stakeholder relationships, business analysis, estimation and prioritization
- Familiarity with common Agile practices
- Leadership and team‑building capabilities, including coaching, guiding and supporting team members
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem‑solving techniques
- Strong, effective communication skills and ability to bring multiple roles and personalities together to work toward a shared goal
- Strong organizational skills
- Experience promoting agile engineering practices—pair programming, continuous delivery, TDD, BDD, refactoring (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years as a Scrum Master (strongly preferred)
- Experience with Service Now a plus
- Certifications such as CSM, CPO, or PMI‑ACP a plus
- Candidates must possess unrestricted work authorization and not require future sponsorship
Base pay range: $89,828.00 – $. Final compensation may vary based on experience, education, and skill level.
Work EnvironmentHybrid model: in‑person collaboration three days a week with remote flexibility two days a week. Tools and technology are provided to support seamless transitions between work environments.
