Database Administrator
Akkodis is seeking a SQL Server Database Administrator to support and optimize enterprise database environments. This role is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, monitoring, and support of Microsoft SQL Server platforms across development, testing, and production environments. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in SQL Server administration, performance tuning, high availability solutions, and database security while partnering closely with application teams, architects, and infrastructure stakeholders.
Pay/Salary Range: $90,000 annually to $110,000 annually; the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Required Qualifications- Design, install, configure, maintain, and upgrade SQL Server database environments.
- Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to improve query execution, indexing, and overall system performance.
- Ensure database integrity, security, availability, and reliability across enterprise systems.
- Develop, maintain, and test backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Implement and support high‑availability solutions including Always On Availability Groups, log shipping, replication, and clustering.
- Collaborate with developers, application teams, and system administrators to support software development and deployment initiatives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database‑related incidents and performance issues in a timely manner.
- Automate routine database administration activities using T‑SQL, Power Shell, and other scripting tools.
- Support database design, data modeling, ETL processes, and enterprise application platforms.
- Conduct database audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to corporate governance and security standards.
- 3+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator supporting production environments.
- Hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016, 2019, and/or 2022.
- Advanced proficiency in Transact‑SQL (T‑SQL), query optimization, and performance tuning.
Strong expertise with:
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
