Lorven Technologies is seeking a highly motivated Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer to support, monitor, and maintain mission-critical telecommunications and network infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of enterprise, telecom, and operational technology networks that support essential transportation and communication services.

As a NOC Engineer, you will serve as a key member of a 24×7 Network Operations team responsible for monitoring and maintaining critical network infrastructure across enterprise and operational technology environments. The role involves proactive network monitoring, incident management, troubleshooting, escalation handling, and service restoration activities. You will work with routers, switches, firewalls, microwave communication systems, and backhaul networks while collaborating with field engineers, carriers, vendors, and cybersecurity teams.
The successful candidate will possess strong networking fundamentals, Linux administration skills, and experience supporting highly available telecom or enterprise infrastructures. This position offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical communication systems that support transportation and operational excellence.
- Monitor, maintain, and support enterprise and operational technology (OT) network infrastructure from the Network Operations Center
- Detect, troubleshoot, and resolve network incidents, outages, and connectivity issues
- Support routers, switches, firewalls, microwave radio systems, and backhaul communication infrastructure
- Coordinate with carriers, service providers, vendors, and internal technical teams during incident resolution
- Analyze network performance metrics and ensure high network availability and service quality
- Manage incident tickets, escalations, problem records, and service restoration activities
- Perform Linux system administration, troubleshooting, and operational support tasks
- Support network maintenance windows, upgrades, patching, and configuration changes
- Conduct root cause analysis and prepare detailed incident and performance reports
- Maintain operational documentation, procedures, and technical records
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, field services, and cybersecurity teams
- Participate in shift-based operations and on-call support rotations
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Network Operations Center (NOC), telecommunications, ISP, or network support environments
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals
- Hands-on experience with Routing and Switching technologies
- Knowledge of VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies
- Experience using network monitoring and fault management tools
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting routers, switches, and enterprise network infrastructure
- Experience supporting telecom carrier, ISP, WAN, or enterprise network environments
- Knowledge of microwave radio communication systems
- Linux administration and troubleshooting experience
- Strong understanding of Incident Management and Problem Management processes
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a 24×7 operational environment
- Experience supporting railway, transportation, or transit communication systems
- Knowledge of Positive Train Control (PTC) systems
- Knowledge of Centralized Traffic Control (CTC) systems
- Experience with rail operations communication networks
- Familiarity with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Operational Technology (OT) environments
- Experience with Solar Winds, PRTG, Nagios, Zabbix, or similar monitoring platforms
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Certification
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Certification
- CompTIA Network+ Certification
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA), LPIC, or Linux+ Certification
