Under the direction of the Claims Supervisor, the Claims Adjuster I is responsible for the investigation, evaluation, and settlement (either by denial, compromise or payment) of claims arising from physical damages to vehicles, property of customers and third parties (property damage claims, small bodily injury claims and limited personal injury protection). This is an in-office position out of the Nebraska claims office.
Job Duties:
- Obtains necessary authorization from the Claims Supervisor to pay claims in excess of authority.
- Performs a variety of duties which require in-depth knowledge of risks under management, product offered, and insurance investigation techniques working within the claim's office.
- Must maintain integrity of proprietary information.
