Senior Triage Specialist (aka Senior Claims Intake​/FNOL Specialist

Job Summary

Senior Triage Specialist – Full‑time, non‑exempt, on‑site, in‑office. Offices located in Omaha, Los Angeles, Chicago, Richmond, Albany, and New York City. Reports to the Triage Director (Colorado). The role involves adjudicating fast‑track claims handling and robust clerical triage support. Experience with AI implementation and data capture enhancements is advantageous.

• Provide clerical support to claims adjusters to facilitate timely and accurate management of commercial claims.
• Create and update new and existing claims in the claims database and contact brokers as needed.
• Actively manage fast‑track caseload, maintain diary, and complete tasks to ensure best financial outcomes and timely resolution.
• Set initial claim reserves and screen incoming phone calls, assigning them to the proper party.
• Retrieve and work general voice mailbox; prepare written correspondence and electronic/paper filing.
• Determine coverage and adjuster assignment, investigate claims, and contact claimants and insureds.
• Process mail, prioritize workload, gather technical information, order reports, and contact police departments for vehicle/equipment recovery.
• Handle telephone calls from insureds, claimants, and other parties, and maintain strong claim management.
• Demonstrate customer service focus and apply intellectual curiosity to develop solutions.

• High school diploma and minimum 6 years experience in commercial claims (or related industry) OR associate degree with 3 years experience OR bachelor’s degree with 1 year experience.
• Good business acumen, polished written and verbal communication in English, and strong interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented, initiative, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Desire for continued professional development and self‑development opportunities.

• Proficiency in Spanish (spoken and written).
• Experience with Guidewire and/or Claims Center.
• Experience creating structured and clear prompts that deliver accurate results from a large language model (LLM).

Richmond: $29.37 - $34.18 per hour ($61,098 – $71,094 annualized).
Albany and Chicago: $32.32 - $37.71 per hour ($67,218 – $78,438 annualized).
Los Angeles and New York City: $35.26 - $41.14 per hour ($73,338 – $85,578 annualized).
