Bankruptcy Paralegal Law Firm Omaha

If you're the kind of paralegal who thrives in the details, understands the urgency of deadlines, and knows your way around bankruptcy filings without breaking a sweat-this is your lane.

We're partnering with our client a well-established legal team seeking a Bankruptcy Paralegal who can step in and make an immediate impact. This is a hands-on role supporting attorneys in a fast-moving practice where precision, organization, and follow-through matter.

What You'll Be Doing

This role sits at the center of the action-supporting cases from intake through resolution while keeping everything organized and moving forward.

  • Prepare and file proofs of claim and support bankruptcy filings
  • Monitor bankruptcy dockets and track case activity
  • Draft pleadings, discovery, and legal correspondence for attorney review
  • Assist with loan documents, promissory notes, and security agreements
  • Handle UCC searches and filings and manage lien documentation
  • Support trustee sale processes (Notices of Default, Sale, Deeds of Trust, etc.)
  • Prepare and manage post-judgment collections (garnishments, levies, etc.)
  • Conduct legal research, lien searches, and public record reviews
  • Communicate with clients to provide status updates and case progress
  • Maintain organized and accurate client files and documentation
What You Bring
  • 3-5 years of experience in bankruptcy and/or creditors' rights
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and court filings
  • Experience with UCC filings, collections, and bankruptcy processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal/litigation software
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently while staying aligned with a team
Why This Role Stands Out
  • Direct exposure to meaningful legal work-not just administrative tasks
  • Opportunity to partner closely with experienced attorneys
  • A role where your ability to own processes and stay organized truly matters
  • Stable, professional office environment with consistent hours

This is a great opportunity for a paralegal who knows this space and wants to be valued for it. If you enjoy staying busy, keeping things on track, and being the person attorneys rely on to get it done right-you'll fit right in.
