Summary

Rensenhouse is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Industrial Asset Management Professional to support and grow our Asset Management Services (AMS) program within industrial manufacturing facilities. This role manages customer inventory programs including inventory in customer storerooms, maintenance departments, production facilities, tool cribs, and warehouses by providing replenishment, stocking, organization, inventory control, and proactive customer support.

The position serves as an on-site partner to manufacturing customers, ensuring critical MRO, electrical, automation, safety, and production support inventory is available when needed. You will work directly with maintenance teams, storeroom personnel, reliability managers, purchasing departments, engineers, and operations leadership to optimize inventory, reduce downtime, and improve supply chain efficiency. This role helps customers maintain production uptime through effective inventory management, forecasting, reporting, and continuous process improvement.

Working Conditions
  • Primarily field-based with regular travel to industrial manufacturing facilities, production plants, warehouses, distribution centers, maintenance shops, and storerooms. Duties vary with customer production schedules, maintenance activities, inventory requirements, shutdowns, and operational priorities.

Essential Job Functions
  • Inventory Management & Replenishment:
    Perform routine visits to customer manufacturing facilities, storerooms, maintenance shops, production areas, and warehouses; replenish inventory based on usage, min/max levels, maintenance requirements, production demands, and planned shutdown activities; receive, stock, label, organize, and maintain inventory in designated locations; monitor inventory levels and proactively identify shortages of critical spare parts and production-support materials; conduct cycle counts, audits, and physical inventory verification;

    organize storerooms and inventory locations using 5S and best-practice methodologies; maintain inventory identification standards including manufacturer information, part numbers, descriptions, and locations.

  • Customer Relationship Management:
    Develop strong working relationships with maintenance managers, reliability teams, purchasing personnel, plant managers, engineers, and storeroom staff; serve as primary field contact for inventory-related questions, replenishment requests, and asset management initiatives; proactively identify opportunities to improve inventory availability, reduce excess stock, and streamline storeroom processes; respond quickly to urgent production, maintenance, and reliability needs; deliver exceptional customer service as a trusted extension of the customer’s supply chain team.

  • AMS Program Development:
    Support the implementation and growth of Rensenhouse Asset Management Services within industrial facilities; assist with setting up and organizing new storerooms, inventory locations, maintenance cribs, vending solutions, and asset management programs; recommend stocking adjustments based on consumption history, maintenance schedules, reliability requirements, and production forecasts; identify opportunities to expand managed inventory programs and improve customer operational efficiency; assist customers with inventory management technology, reporting systems, and asset management software tools.

Compensation Range:
The compensation range for this position is $24 per hour.
