Director of Manufacturing Supply Chain

Location: Sioux Center, IA | Sioux Falls, SD | Omaha, NE Travel: Up to 25%
Compensation: $140,000-$165,000+ annually

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Director of Manufacturing Supply Chain to lead supply chain strategy and execution in support of our manufacturing operations and business objectives.

In this role, you'll lead and develop the manufacturing supply chain team, strengthen supplier relationships, drive strategic purchasing, and ensure we have the right suppliers, processes, and logistics capabilities to support our customers and manufacturing goals.

You’ll partner closely with manufacturing, materials, supply chain, offer category, and delivery leaders to balance cost, quality, capacity, supplier performance, risk, and on-time delivery.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and execute manufacturing supply chain strategy in alignment with company and manufacturing objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing supply chain team, including staffing and talent development.
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership and materials teams to ensure effective day-to-day planning and execution.
  • Direct strategic purchasing, including supplier selection, sourcing, negotiations, and spend management.
  • Build strong supplier relationships and develop supplier redundancy strategies to reduce risk and strengthen resiliency.
  • Establish and monitor supplier performance through scorecards, quality processes, and corrective actions.
  • Partner with offer category and delivery leaders to ensure supply chain activities support customer needs and timely deliverables.
  • Own manufacturing logistics strategy and execution, including shipping of manufactured solutions.
  • Partner with the VP of Supply Chain on manufacturing supply chain budgets and forecasts.
  • Identify opportunities to improve supplier performance, processes, systems, cost, quality, and overall supply chain effectiveness.
  • Represent Interstates at supplier meetings and industry events to build relationships and stay current on market trends and best practices.
  • Support strategic initiatives and business ventures as needed.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a closely related field.
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience, including leadership experience.
  • Experience with strategic purchasing, supplier management, sourcing, logistics, or manufacturing supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience building and managing strategic supplier relationships.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
