Custodian (LC) – Bellevue Public Schools (Nebraska)

Applications are being accepted for an 8 hour custodian position at Lewis & Clark Middle School.

The custodian is responsible for the general care and upkeep of assigned areas of the buildings, grounds, and equipment. Duties include fundamental cleaning skills, lifting, following directions and ability to physically handle setup and teardown of activity events. To a lesser extent, the custodian assists with maintenance support. The custodian’s assignment is subject to changes in areas and duties within this job description.

The custodian is responsible for carrying out the instructions of the custodial leader and the building administrator. In addition, the candidate may be required to mow, trim hedges, and remove snow, which may require working flexible hours in inclement weather. Candidates must enjoy working around children, and be able to work well with others as a team. Previous experience preferred but not required.

• Mowing, trimming hedges, and removing snow as required.
• Ability to work flexible hours in inclement weather.
• Teamwork and ability to work well with children.

• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety of themselves or others, with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Must be capable of regularly attending to the duties of the position assigned.
• Prior experience preferred but not required.
• Veterans preference applicable.

Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.
