Maintenance Mechanic

Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join our client’s onsite team in Omaha, NE. The ideal candidate has experience performing preventative maintenance in a healthcare facility. Day to day, the mechanic will travel to each mechanical room to perform regular checks to ensure systems are running up to code, and will service work order tickets as they come in.

The role requires knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and may involve work beyond a defined ticket or preventive check.

Base pay range: $25.00/hr - $30.00/hr exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and education. A comprehensive benefits package is provided starting on day one, including medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment.

• Travel to mechanical rooms to perform regular checks on equipment to ensure proper operation and code compliance.
• Serve routine work order tickets and address unplanned maintenance as needed.
• Perform maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems; identify work beyond tickets and escalate as required.
• Document all work in logs and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in MEP maintenance, specifically in a healthcare setting (familiar with sinks, faucets, boilers, doors, window latches, and locks).
• Experience with electrical repairs to wiring, electrical fixtures, motors, controls, and appliances.
• Experience operating building automation controls systems.
• Experience documenting work through logs.
• Strong soft skills; ability to work in an environment with patients, doctors, and nurses.
