Job Title:
Commercial Flooring Warehouse Manager
Location: Omaha, NE
Job Type: Full-Time
Reports To: Operations Manager
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee operations in our commercial flooring warehouse. This role is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, inventory, and distribution of flooring materials such as carpet, tile, vinyl, and related supplies. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient warehouse operations while maintaining high standards for safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage all daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and order fulfillment.
- Supervise, train, and lead a team of warehouse associates.
- Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Monitor warehouse equipment and schedule regular maintenance to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Oversee the proper storage and handling of flooring products to prevent damage or loss.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
- Collaborate with purchasing, sales, and project management teams to forecast material needs and meet delivery deadlines.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Perform regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- High school diploma or GED required;
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or business a plus. - Minimum 3–5 years of warehouse management experience, preferably in the construction or commercial flooring industry.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask with little direct supervision
- Experience with inventory control systems and warehouse software.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial flooring materials and installation practices is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a physically active environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Fast-paced warehouse setting.
- May require occasional overtime and weekend work based on project demands.
