Overview
The Foster Care Program Supervisor provides overall direction, development, and supervision of the foster care program. This team member supervises the program team and manages daily operations and activities including recruitment and licensing of foster care homes. Additionally, this position provides direct program services when appropriate and necessary.

Position SummaryThe Foster Care Program Supervisor provides overall direction, development, and supervision of the foster care program. This team member supervises the program team and manages daily operations and activities including recruitment and licensing of foster care homes. Additionally, this position provides direct program services when appropriate and necessary.
Job Duties- Exercise independent judgment in program oversight and administration, including decision making regarding staffing structure, caseloads, service delivery standards, and program compliance with state licensing and regulatory requirements.
- Provide direct supervision to the Foster Care program staff, including coaching, training, and evaluating prospective and current foster placements on an ongoing basis.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure standards and best practices are met.
- Ensure the implementation of multiple project activities for the Foster Care Program.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement planning and duties for the program including standards, processes, and case file reviews.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships and work in collaboration with area community organizations and referral sources.
- Conduct outreach activities to network with other organizations to recruit and license new foster care homes.
- Participate in weekly on-call scheduled rotation to include weekend and overnight coverage.
- Conduct and oversee the operation of agency training classes and State Foster Parent training classes with assistance of trained program staff.
- Provide coaching, professional development, and educational planning for staff.
- Track program outcome statistics; prepare reports for Leadership, funders, and state entities as needed and grant reporting requirements.
- Coordinate maintenance of participant file information to ensure all participant file information is up to date and meets continuous quality assurance standards of the agency.
- Provide direct service support and intervention to children and families as needed.
- Other relevant duties as assigned.

- Thorough knowledge of the child welfare system.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Participate in the agency’s Performance & Quality Improvement (PQI) activities assigned.
- Regular and predictable attendance, and promptness for work.

- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related Human Services field required.
- Active mental health counseling license in the state of Nebraska is preferred.
- Previous program management and/or supervisory experience required.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience working with children and families, preferably in family preservation and stabilization.
- Demonstrated understanding of and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
- Bilingual language skills preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Hybrid work environment (in office and remote).
- Laptop and company issued cell phone.
- Meet with and assist staff as needed after business hours and on weekends.
- Participate in weekly on-call scheduled rotation to include weekend and overnight coverage.
